Jewellery

No jewellery is to be worn at school unless it is for religious reasons.  However, if a child has pierced ears then they are allowed to wear simple studs.  These studs should be removed when the child is taking part in P.E. lessons and swimming, or covered with tape.  Watches are of course the responsibility of each child.

Hair

Long hair should be tied back. Large hair adornments, other than simple clips/ hair bands are not permitted. This is vitally important during PE lessons.  Please see the Safe Practice in Physical Education and School Sport Guidelines for more details.

Teachers will advise parents if the activity requires alternative clothing. For example wellingtons or walking shoes if visiting the quay or on residentials. Requests will be reasonable and no parent will be expected to purchase any item of clothing for an educational visit or residential.
