Attendance and Absence

Good attendance at school is vital for a child's education.

Holidays and other appointments ( dentists/ doctors etc.) can have a significant impact on your child's attendance figures. The government expects children to have an attendance of above 95%. The guidance for head teachers is very clear; family holidays should not be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances to do so. These guidelines remain in place despite the upset to holiday arrangements that Covid has caused. Please click on the link on the left of this page for further information.

If your child is too unwell to come to school, please telephone the office before 9.30am to explain the reason for their absence. Thank you!
