Attendance and Absence

We believe that good attendance at             school is vital for a child's education.

Holidays and other appointments (dentists/ doctors etc.) can have a significant impact on your child's attendance figures. The government expects children to have an attendance of above 95%. The guidance for head teachers is very clear; family holidays should not be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances for us to do so.  If you wish to apply for leave of absence for your child, please complete the leave of absence form below and return it to the school office. If you do not have a printer, please ask the office to provide you with a copy. Once considered by the Acting Head teacher, it will be returned to you with an authorised / unauthorised response recorded on it.

If your child is too unwell to come to school, please telephone the office, 01243 572375, before 9.30am to explain the reason for their absence. Thank you!
