Year R - Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) - This is an assessment which has to be completed in the first six weeks of the pupils attending school. This is undertaken by Mrs Smith working individually with each pupil. Reception Baseline Assessment

 

Year 1 - Phonics Screening Check - This a 40 word test to check pupils' phonic understanding. The test happens in school between Monday 1st June and Friday 4th June. Pupils need to score 32 out of 40 to pass this assessment. Pupils who do not pass this in year 1, they will be retested in year 2 next year. Phonics Screening Check Materials - 2023

 

Year 4 - The multiplication tables check (MTC) is statutory for all year 4 pupils in English schools. This year the test will be undertaken online at school between Monday 3rd June 2024 to Friday 14th June 2024. Pupils will be given 25 questions and 6 seconds to answer each question correctly. Government Website for MTC

 

Year 6 - KS2 SATs - These are statutory tests that will include the following tests below. These are externally marked, and the results are returned to the school in July. KS2 SATs

 

 

Once every term, pupils will also be tested on their reading, mathematical and grammar understanding as part of our assessment approach. This allows us to understand what children have learnt and what we need to teach them in the future. These assessments support us to plan interventions, when needed, to best support the pupils.
