Learning British Sign Language Together

Every week, our children will learn a new British Sign Language (BSL) sign, building up a wonderful collection of signs throughout the year. Learning BSL is a fun and meaningful way to help children understand that people communicate in different ways. It gives them the confidence and skills to communicate with people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, while also encouraging kindness, inclusion and respect for others. By learning a new sign each week, our children are developing an important life skill and helping to create a school community where everyone feels welcomed, understood and included.
